A quite location in the middle of the city
Near the hotel is Östra Station with buses to Djurgården, Skansen, Gröna Lund, Junibacken, Odenplan, Solna and Frösunda. The hotel is close to the legendary sports arena Stadion, the Royal Institute of Technology (KTH), the Royal College of Music and the School of Architecture. Nice running routes are just around the corner. If you arrive by car the exit is Norrtull towards Valhallavägen.

Fantastiskt trevligt bemötande i receptionen när jag kom Damma v lampan i trapphuset på våning 5
Hotellet ligger på en bra plats - lite utanför själva stan, men med närhet till att åka med både buss och tunnelbana så att man snabbt kunde ta sig in mot centrum. Hotellet var tyst och lugnt. All personalen var supertrevliga och hjälpsamma. Vi är väldigt nöjda och har inget för tillfället förslag på förbättring.
När min kund Tv kanaler som funkar och nattskärm på termostaten som lyser upp hela rummet på natten.

Trevlig och glad personal i receptionen, rent och städat på rummet Ge personalen i frukost och kvällsrestaurangen lite mer utbildning i hur man hanterar gäster även om man är stressad. Graden av bemötande var långt under vad man förväntar sig, uttrycker missnöje över sin arbetssituation, överbelastade. Pizzan var av helt undermålig kvalitet för det priset, stenhård botten som man knappt kunde dela, förekomst av löjrom var knappt märkbar ens med mikroskop! Här vill jag dock ge en eloge till den receptionspersonal som på ett lugnt och trevligt sätt hoppade in och stöttade den buttra och stressade servitören som hade ett gästbemötande under all kritik. Har hotellet ett större antal konferensgäster som skall äta middag så kanske man från hotellledningens sida skulle ha sett till att det fanns stöttning av någon till i personalen.

The Hotel offers laundry service. Laundry collected before 9 am will be returned the same day after 6 pm. This service is availble Mondays until Fridays. There will be a additional charge for laundry on saturdays, sundays and express service.

History of the hotel
In the 1950s, the building was a student residence that was empty during the summer when the students went home. The then chairman of SSRS (Stockholm Student Reception Service), Bicky Chakraborty, realized that it was a business opportunity and so the student association began renting out the apartments to tourists. The summer hotel became the starting point for Sweden's now largest privately owned hotel chain, Elite Hotels of Sweden.
In 1995, the hotel was given its current name, Arcadia. In 2008, the hotel was completely renovated to meet the service level that characterizes Elite Hotels of Sweden. The brick facade is now listed as a heritage building from the 1950s.
The hotel is located in the northernmost part of Östermalm in the Ruddammen area, which is also part of the National City Park (Frescati, Ulriksdal, Haga Brunnsviken). It is a peaceful and green oasis with buses and the subway within walking distance.

By air
Stockholm Arlanda Airport
Arlanda Express goes non-stop to Stockholm central station. Flygbussarna Airport Coaches offers several stops during the way to the city. Taxi from Arlanda takes about 30 minutes depending on the traffic. The taxi companies know the address to the hotel and we recommend that you confirm the price before the journey.
Bromma Airport
From Bromma Airport, go by taxi or take Flygbussarna Airport Coaches to Stockholm Cityterminalen. Local bus 110 goes to Alvik, continue by metro.
By car
E4 from north and south: follow signs to Norrtull and from there signs to Värtahamnen. Go along Valhallavägen and after 200 metres the hotel is visible on the left side. Make a left turn at the crossing Valhallavägen – Odengatan. That’s Körsbärsvägen and the hotel is right in front of you.
By metro
Red line to Mörby Centrum and the station Tekniska Högskolan. Follow signs
to Körsbärsvägen and the hotel, that is about a hundred metres from the exit.
By train
Take the Metro or a taxi from Stockholms Central station to the hotel.
