frukost var det bästa Det sämsta var sängen (kändes som soffa). Jag hade bokat en dubbelsäng, men fick två ihopskjutna enkelsängar. Rummet var så varmt och kvavt att det inte hjälpte att öppna fönstret. hela upplevelsen blev dåligt eftersom jag kunde inte sova hela natten pga värmen och att sova på soffan

Centralt beläget. Läste innan att det var nyrenoverat, men ni verkade ha glömt det rum vi hade! Saknade ventilation på rummet så det var extremt varmt. Luktade mögel på toaletten. Duschen fick man nästan dra ut vattnet från, då strålen var miniminimal. Glasen på rummet var dammiga o hade nog inte tvättats på det senaste året. Väldigt, väldigt smutsiga fönster. Trasig gardinupphängningen, som man måste ta i för att kunna dra för. Gardinerna hängde på trekvart. Vårt besök bokades genom ett Live it-presentkort. Känns som man därför fick ett B-rum, alltså lägsta möjliga comfort! Oerhört besviken! Ger inte en känsla av att boka nästa vistelse på Elite Stora Hotell någon mer gång.

Centralt, trevlig personal. Kompis till mig var tvungen att boka 2 hotellrum då deras son inte fick sova hos honom och sin fru. Oavsett fördelning så får 1av3 sova själv. Inte okej mot en familj på 3. Nu åkte jag och min son själva och delade på ett rum men hade min sambo följt med så hade jag blivit irriterad över att boka 2 rum. Inte utifrån ekonomin utan att vi vill bo tillsammans. Så därav skulle jag eventuellt se över annat ställe trots fördelen av fint hotell och det centrala läget.

Väldigt mysigt och rent rum. Frukosten var supergod – hit kommer vi gärna igen! Vi trivdes väldigt bra, men tyvärr var duschmedlet tomt – kanske något att ha extra koll på framöver. Annars vi är jättenöjd av besöket.

Läget, frukosten (fantastisk bra med stort urval) stora rum Kunde vara Varmare tevatten. Dörrmatta innanför rumsdörren när det slask /snö ute. Måla fönstren insida. Informera innan att det är bara 1 Tim parkering direkt utanför hotellet. Går alltså inte att parkera där om man kommer före 17.

Enjoy a comfortable stay with your pets at our hotel. We offer a limited amount of rooms for those who want to bring their furry friend along. Stay together with your pet in your room for an additional cost of 300 SEK/night. Take the time to experience the beautiful nature and enjoy long walks around the hotel area during your stay. Behind the hotel is a public parking garage, Sesam. Parking costs 140 SEK per day. Payment is made directly at the parking garage and cannot be pre-booked. The parking garage is open daily from 06:00 to 24:00. Outside these hours, you can enter using a code provided at the reception.
In the Sesam parking garage, there are two charging stations on the ground floor, with a maximum charging time of 3 hours. Additional charging stations with longer charging times are available at the municipal parking garage Per Brahe, located approximately 700 meters from the hotel. These cannot be pre-booked.
Adjacent to the hotel, there is a public handicapped parking space as well as two charging stations, with a maximum charging time of 2 hours. These cannot be pre-booked.

History of the hotel
What was at that time known as Jönköpings Hotell was built in 1850. This was an enormously bold venture in a city with only 7000 residents. The hotel is one of the country’s oldest and most famous hotels outside the capital. When it opened in January 1860, it was the largest hotel in the country. The rationale behind the huge construction was Jönköping’s strategic location as a rail and road junction, which made it a natural stopover station on the finalized South Main Line.
Right from the outset, the hotel boasted a number of special features. On the ground floor, there was a restaurant, a café, a billiards room, an inn, bank offices and, after a few years, a bathhouse. The middle floor consisted primarily of hotel rooms and the upper floor housed banquet halls, clubrooms and a few other rooms. The Freemasons, then as now, held quarterly on the attic floor, which includes the great assembly hall, Johannessalen.
In 1863, the banquet and assembly rooms were finished two floors up. Since this time, the hotel has boasted the finest banquet facilities in Jönköping County. The hall was magnificent, with glittering gas-burning chandeliers, mirrored walls that gave the illusion of another room beyond, and décor that makes visitors feel as if they had been transported to a fairytale castle. Ever since this room has hosted countless magnificent and memorable balls and banquets.
