Now we have opened our first hotel in Uppsala, Elite Hotel Academia. Boasting the best possible location right next to the central station and occupying the old post office building, this hotel is the perfect choice for those of you on business trips, attending conferences, or on holiday.
Elite Hotel Academia offers 198 stylish rooms, 9 conference rooms and a gym and sauna.
The hotel is situated a short walk from Uppsala Konsert & Kongress and only a 20 minutes drive from Arlanda airport.
The hotel is a place for socialising, both at street level in the intimate gastropub The Bishops Arms, and upstairs in the spectacular Miss Voon restaurant and sky-bar on the eleventh floor.

Enterprise has long been the heart and soul of the quarter in which Elite Hotel Academia is situated. One notable example is that this was the original home of the venerable Fyris Chocolate Factory, which was founded at the beginning of the 20th century. The factory made toffees, caramel sweets and a vast assortment of chocolate pralines in delectable shapes and forms. In 1936 the premises were taken over by the Uppsala Sidenväverier silk mill, which produced exclusive and fashionable dress fabric collections of the highest quality. The Post Office was established in the '60s in premises which were ultramodern for the time.

Stay together with your dog in your room for an additional cost of 200 SEK/night. Take the time to experience the beautiful nature and enjoy long walks around the hotel area during your stay.
At Elite Hotel Academia we want to promote health and therefore we offers all who likes to run and exercisedefault routes in the app Runkeeper. We have produced our favorite rounds as you can easily follow, threeroutes of varying length from 3 to 10 kilometers.

To improve: This is my second stay in 8 weeks. Both times the clearing of tables at breakfast is extremely slow. I have had breakfast 6 times in total and every time it is hard to find a clean table, even when the restaurant is almost empty.

To improve: Get a better way to control room temperature. As is almost always the case in Swedish hotels the room temperature is way to high. It can be controlled via a thermostat but it takes a long time to cool down and won't go below 18.5 C. Too warm for sleeping comfortable. Also next day the thermostat was reset to default again. If customers spend multiple days, please do NOT reset the thermostat as it is most likely adjusted to the preferred temperature.
